PROVEN IN RACING: WUNDERLICH AXLE PROTECTION PADS DOUBLESHOCK
The axle protection pads ensure that the fork, wheel axle and brake system are effectively protected from damage in the event of a fall or crash. The protection pads distance these components during point or grinding contact with the ground or road, thus reducing or avoiding expensive damage to the motorcycle. In addition to material selection, we have constructively integrated two essential, specific properties and tested them in racing, namely damping and a frictional resistance that progressively increases during the sliding phase. Damping: The first positive property is damping, which can completely or partially absorb part of the impact energy during sudden force impacts. Frictional Resistance: The second positive property is frictional resistance, which increases from the outside inwards due to the enlargement of the effective sliding surface determined by the component geometry. This ensures that our axle protection pad offers only minimal frictional resistance during light touches, but significantly reduces the sliding phase in time and space during prolonged grinding road contact. This means that in a crash with an axle protection pad, the sliding time and distance are reduced. For optimal protection of your machine, we recommend combining our axle protection pads with our vehicle-specific protection bar systems, for which we offer additional protection pads.
