Our years of experience have once again paid off in the development of this crash bar : for the first time, we've succeeded in constructing a perfectly shaped crash bar that perfectly protects the valve cover (even in serious crashes) and terminates at the bottom in an underbody guard , which also serves as the solid base mount for the crash bar . The underbody guard is secured at six points and protects not only the oil pan but also the exposed oil filter.
All anchor points are designed to withstand tensile and compressive loads. The leverage forces are distributed across all anchor points in the event of a fall. The center bracket ensures even distribution and acts as a pivot point, ensuring that all other suspension points are equally involved in absorbing the forces in the event of a fall. The R 1200 RT LC crash bar thus has a total of six anchor points!
We consider this a particularly successful design, which, with its considerable structural effort, reliably protects the R 1200 RT LC from damage. The bars are not perceived as foreign objects, integrate perfectly, and also transform the R 1200 RT LC into a stylistic touring bike.
