With this engine protection bar concept, the focus of development was on maximum protection. The geometry of the compact protective guard primarily reliably protects the exposed water pump together with the hoses. But the clutch housing and the clutch slave cylinder are also additionally protected. The engine protection bar fits closely to the unit and gains additional stability and rigidity thanks to its compact structure. The bracket for the left side of the engine is solidly screwed to the frame at two selected screw points. The moments and forces that occur in the event of a fall or fall are thus distributed over two points. This reduces the load peaks when external forces hit.
The engine protection bar reduces the risk of damage in the event of a tip over or fall. In particular, the failure of the water pump and its connections inevitably leads to the journey coming to an end.
The assembly is easy to do.
Note on assembly: The engine protection bar can only be installed with the fairing protection bar in combination with our fairing protection bar. The corresponding assembly kit is included. If you would like to mount the engine protection bar without the fairing protection bar, please use the engine protection bar solo #70200-002.
